Executive Director

The Rt. Rev. Council Nedd II – Executive Director and the founding board member of AHEAD. Bishop Nedd brings a wealth of experience to the post, having served in numerous senior positions on Capitol Hill including time as a congressional investigator for the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee and legislative director for Rep. Dick Chrysler

Before entering full-time ministry, Bishop Nedd has worked in the health care industry as a federal and state lobbyist and as a grassroots organizer and political consultant for a number of non-profit advocacy organizations. An ordained Anglican priest, Bishop Nedd, was recently consecrated to the episcopate, making him the youngest bishop in the world, where he serves as the ordinary for the Diocese of the Chesapeake. He has long been involved with clergy from a number of denominations, assisting them in setting up outreach and education programs in specialized communities. Recently Bishop Nedd took a two-year sabbatical to teach history at a charter high school in Washington, DC. Bishop Nedd resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Board of Directors

Dr. Leslie O. Anderson – Director of Community, Health and Inner City Ministries Emeritus for the Northern California Conference of Seventh-Day-Adventists. He is a former member of the faculty at Oakwood College and Loma Linda University. Dr. Anderson holds a PhD, D.H.Sc, M.P.H. and M.Div. and resides in Martinez, California.

Mr. Adam L. Barnett, Esq. – AHEAD's General Counsel is the former Assistant Commissioner of Consumer Affairs for the City of New York under Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Mr. Barnett practices Immigration and Social Security Disability Law at the Law Offices of Jason G. Barnett, P.A. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Ms. Kelly O. Cates – As Director of Operations at the Council for Affordable Health Insurance in Alexandria, VA, Ms. Cates has over 10 years' experience in the health policy industry and non-profit management.

Ms. Amy Wallop Mann – The Director of Regulatory Affairs for the American Horse Council. A native of Wyoming, Ms. Mann resides in Mclean, Virginia.
